What's available for pre-order
RedOctane is selling physical hardware bundles that include the Stage Tour-branded plastic guitar controller plus a copy of the game. The bundles are platform-specific (PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2) and ship to arrive on the December 10 launch day. Game Informer's gamescom 2026 coverage confirmed the bundles went up for pre-order the same day as the December 10 reveal.
The software-only digital version is not yet available for pre-order on Steam or the Epic Games Store — the digital price hasn't been announced. Wishlist on Steam if you want the day-one notification when the digital version goes live.

Should you pre-order a hardware bundle?
Yes, if: you owned an original Guitar Hero controller and you want the full plastic-instrument experience on day one. The whole point of Stage Tour is the physical controller in your hands — keyboard and gamepad work, but they're not the point.
Wait, if: you're on PC only, you're not sure you'll play enough to justify the hardware cost, or you want to see reviews first. The first production run is the one to lock in, but if you miss it, the controller will likely be sold separately post-launch at a higher standalone price.
For the digital version on Steam: wishlist, don't pre-order. There's no bonus for pre-ordering the digital version and the price is still TBA. Wishlisting gets you a day-one ping.
