90+ officially licensed tracks, six decades of music, all available on day one. Here's every artist RedOctane Games has confirmed for the launch setlist as of August 2026.
Confirmed artists (launch, August 2026)
These are the artists RedOctane has officially named in press materials, the Steam page, and the gamescom 2026 reveal. Specific tracks per artist are still being rolled out by RedOctane — they'll add individual song lists in waves between now and the December 10 launch.

That core eight covers hard rock, classic rock, modern pop-punk, alt-pop, nu-metal, and alt-rock. It's a tasteful spread for a launch — leans hard rock and modern rock, with a smaller pop presence than a pure-pop rhythm game would have.
What the launch lineup looks like
90+ tracks is significantly more than the original Guitar Hero (which launched with around 47 on PS2). It also edges out Rock Band 4's launch set, and matches the day-one bar that Fortnite Festival eventually set. For comparison: most AAA rhythm games in 2026 are launching with 25-40 tracks and patching in more over the first six months — Stage Tour's 90+ is a deliberate "drop the whole library" move.
RedOctane is also promising ongoing post-launch DLC packs in the same model as classic Guitar Hero — small themed drops every few weeks. The Stage Tour post-launch roadmap hasn't been detailed yet, but expect anniversary / artist-spotlight packs and holiday drops through 2027.

- Which tracks ship as 5-lane charts vs 4-lane only
- Whether any tracks have alternate versions (live, acoustic, etc.) at launch
- DLC pricing model — single tracks vs themed packs vs season pass

How the setlist compares
Hard to compare apples-to-apples before launch, but if Stage Tour ships the promised 90+ and they hold the artist names above, it's a real contender for "best launch setlist in a rhythm game since Guitar Hero III." The presence of Metallica is itself a statement — Metallica's catalog was famously locked out of Rock Band for years, and seeing them on a RedOctane-led launch set is a quiet flex.
