Stars Reach System Requirements — PC
The official PC requirements for Stars Reach, straight from Steam. Good news for most players: the minimum bar is refreshingly modest for a 2026 MMO, though the recommended tier asks for a serious step up in memory.
Minimum requirements (official)
- OS: Windows 10
- Processor: 64-bit processor
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: GTX 1070 or AMD RX 580 or better
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
Recommended requirements (official)
- OS: Windows 11
- Processor: 64-bit processor
- Memory: 32 GB RAM
- Graphics: GTX 2060 or Radeon 5600 or better
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
Reading these specs honestly
- The jump from 16GB to 32GB RAM between tiers is the standout. This is a live-world sandbox with persistent player-built settlements to track, and memory clearly matters as servers hold more of the world.
- The minimum GPU (GTX 1070 / RX 580) is genuinely modest — most modern MMOs are friendlier than this. That's good news for older rigs, with one caveat below.
- Steam lists no specific CPU model, just "64-bit processor." For a crowd-heavy MMO that's an optimistic line item — live-world MMOs can hammer the CPU when lots of other players' builds are in view. Treat a modern mid-range CPU as the real floor even if the list doesn't say so.
- The requirement sheet is quiet about storage and DirectX versions — expect to confirm those on the Steam page before downloading.
$29.99
Stars Reach is $29.99 in Early Access (Aug 18, 2026), no discount at launch. Requirements above are the official Steam listings.
If you have a mid-range PC from the last five or six years, you're probably fine at minimum and comfortable at modest settings. The main thing to watch is that 32GB recommendation — if you plan to build heavily and stick around long-term, that's where you'll feel the squeeze, not the GPU.
