Breathedge 2 Early Access roadmap
No public 1.0 date. No fixed roadmap. The devs (RedRuins Softworks, with HypeTrain Digital publishing) launched into Early Access on August 31, 2026 with a defined core loop and an open list of what comes next. Here's what you can actually play on day one, what the devs have signaled, and what isn't confirmed.

No 1.0 date
What's in the Early Access launch
- Full campaign / main salvage loop. The story of "save a galaxy gone off the rails" is playable start to finish, single-player or in 4-player co-op.
- Core crafting and base-building. Tools, upgrades, repair, base modules — the systems you'd expect from a survival-craft in 2026.
- Multiple biomes and wreck types. The Steam description highlights more biome variety than the first game shipped with.
- Polyhedron (the chicken). Confirmed present. Would be a different game without it.
What the devs have signaled (not promised)
- Post-launch content updates. The standard EA pattern for survival-craft games is: launch with a working loop, add more biomes, more enemy types, more mission variety. The Steam page lists this as a category, not a date.
- Balance and progression passes. EA survival-craft launches always ship with balance issues. Expect a wave of small patches in the first month.
- Quality-of-life updates. The original game's UX was a common Steam review complaint. Treat the early patches as fixes first, content second.
What isn't confirmed
- A 1.0 release date. Not published. Don't buy on the assumption of a 6-month EA window.
- Console version. Not announced. PC (Steam) is the only platform at launch.
- Crossplay. Doesn't matter today (Steam-only), but no commitment if a console port happens later.
- Mod support / Steam Workshop. Not enabled. Could be added later — common for survival-craft — but not promised.
- Localized voice acting. The original was text-heavy. No confirmation of full VO for the sequel.
How to read an EA launch like this
- Buy the loop, not the content list. If the salvage-and-build loop is fun for you and a friend on day one, the EA content patches are bonus. If the loop isn't fun yet, more biomes won't save it.
- First month is the messy month. Survival-craft EA launches usually hit a stability / balance pass around weeks 2-4. Reviews before that are a coin flip.
- The launch discount was the buy-in signal. $15.99 vs $19.99 — the devs were saying "we know this isn't 1.0, here's a discount for showing up early." That window has closed; it is $19.99 now.
Quick FAQ
- When does Early Access end? No public date. The Steam page doesn't list one.
- Will the price go up at 1.0? Likely, but not confirmed. Most survival-craft games step the price up at full release.
- Will my save carry to 1.0? Standard EA promise is yes, with the usual caveat that wipes are possible during big updates.
- Is there a roadmap page? No public roadmap at launch. Check the Steam news tab for the most current updates.
