Does Pax Autocratica Have Mods?
No — not yet. As of Aug 15, 2026, Pax Autocratica has no Steam Workshop integration and no official mod tools. The store page doesn't list Workshop support, and the developer hasn't announced any. It's Early Access, so this could change, but don't buy it expecting mods today.
Current status
- Steam Workshop: not enabled on the store page.
- Official mod tools: none announced. The developer has been focused on Early Access content, balance and the launch roadmap.
- Unofficial mods: nothing significant yet — the game just launched Aug 10 and the community is still in strategy-guide territory, not modding territory.
What the community is doing instead
Mods get searched for, but what players are actually producing right now is guides. A fan wiki went up within days of launch covering citizens (work, fear, loyalty, bonds, feuds), cores, policies, expeditions and prisoner conversion — that's where the community energy is going while the game is this young. The devs also ran an AMA on r/Games at launch, so they're present and reading feedback.
The honest expectation
Colony sims with roguelite combat usually get mod support when they reach a stable feature set, not during the first weeks of Early Access. If mods are a must-have for you, wait and watch the Steam Workshop tab — the moment it's enabled, this page will be updated.
