Is Pax Autocratica Multiplayer or Co-op?
No. Pax Autocratica is single-player only — the Steam listing carries no multiplayer or co-op tag, and the game's own community wiki confirms it. There's no online mode, no co-op expeditions, and no plans announced for either as of Aug 15, 2026.
The short answer
If you came from Helldivers or similar squad shooters hoping for drop-in co-op, this isn't that. The FPS expeditions are solo runs. The colony layer is also single-player — you're the dictator, there's nobody else to split the job with, which is sort of the point.
What that means for the two halves
- Colony management: fully single-player, pause-friendly, no shared saves.
- FPS expeditions: your squad is AI-controlled soldiers, not other players. The roguelite run structure is built around one person making the calls.
- Why people ask: the game visually reads as a co-op shooter (Helldivers is the top related search on Google Trends), but the design is deliberately solo — one ruler, one battlefield.
Could co-op come later?
It's Early Access, so nothing is set in stone — but the developer has not announced multiplayer. The current Steam tags and the official community wiki both list it as single-player. If you're buying specifically for co-op, don't — wait for an announcement.
