Wanderburg price
Short version: $14.99 on Steam, and the 35% launch discount that cut it to $9.74 ended on September 22, 2026. The longer version, including the DLC and the one line on the Steam page that makes waiting look worse than usual, is below.
The full price list
| Launch window (ended Sep 22) | Today (Sep 24, 2026) | |
|---|---|---|
| Wanderburg (Early Access) | $9.74 · -35% | $14.99 |
| Supporter Pack DLC | $4.79 · -20% | $5.99 |
| Wanderburg Demo | Free | Free |
The Supporter Pack is pure cosmetics plus the soundtrack — pirate-themed decorations for your castle, zero gameplay advantage. Steam's refund policy (under two hours played, inside 14 days of purchase) applies to both as usual.
The line that changes the math
Most launch discounts are marketing theater: wait a month, catch the next sale, lose nothing. Wanderburg's situation is different because Randwerk put this on the Steam page: the price may increase as new content is added during Early Access, which they expect to run six to twelve months. That sentence does two things at once. It told you $9.74 was probably the floor this game will ever see — cheaper than the current $14.99 — not just for the discount window, but potentially for the rest of its life. And it sets up the classic Early Access bargain: pay less now, accept rough edges, watch the price climb toward 1.0.
The counterweight, in fairness: Steam's standard Early Access warning applies, and the launch reviews back it up. Around 1,200 reviews sit at 77% positive, with the complaints pointing at performance hitches in busy fights and unlock prices in the meta progression — not at a broken core. The loop that won gamescom's Most Entertaining award on August 28 is already in the build. What isn't: the desert biome with its new enemies and bosses, which is roadmap material.
Who should actually wait
- If $14.99 feels steep for the current content: the demo is free and permanent. Twenty minutes of steering a wobbling stone tower settles whether this game is for you, and it costs the same before and after September 22: nothing.
- If you want the finished game: six-to-twelve months of Early Access means 1.0 likely lands sometime in 2027. Waiting for that is a legitimate strategy — you'll pay more and get the desert biome, balance patches and whatever else the roadmap adds.
- If you're hunting a deeper sale: nobody has announced one. Sale seasons like Steam's autumn event are the usual suspects, but that's how indie discounts generally behave, not a Wanderburg promise. The dev's own price-rise statement points the other way.
