Is WARDOGS on PS5 or Xbox?
No. WARDOGS is a Steam PC game — Windows only — and there's no console version announced as of Aug 16, 2026. This one's a PC-first release, period.
PC (Windows) only. No PS5, no Xbox, no Switch.
The Steam store page lists Windows as the only platform, and the studio has been consistent about it. Console players are out of luck for the EA launch — and nothing suggests a port is coming later.
Why the confusion?
Fair question — the "war dogs" name and the buzz make it easy to assume this is a multiplatform shooter like Hell Let Loose or Battlefield. It isn't. A few things to keep straight:
- Not on PS5: no PlayStation version has been announced. The rising "wardogs ps5" searches are unmet demand, not a leak.
- Not on Xbox: no Xbox version, no Game Pass deal announced.
- Not a port later: the studio has framed WARDOGS as a Steam-first PC project from day one.
If you're on console but still interested
- Follow the game on Steam via a PC account and keep an eye on announcements anyway — plans can change.
- For the same itch on console right now, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam (50v50, PC/PS5/Xbox with crossplay) is the closest thing available.
- Your PC options: the game needs Windows 10/11 — check the system requirements if you have a gaming laptop.
