What is Gallipoli?

Gallipoli is a large-scale WW1 multi-player shooter and the newest entry in BlackMill Games' WW1 Game Series. If you've played Isonzo or Verdun, you know the template: grounded, moderately tactical 50-player objective-based battles with historically flavored classes and weapons. Gallipoli takes that to the 1915 campaign — beach landings, trench lines, and desert expeditions across the Ottoman Fronts.

One important note about the name: "Gallipoli" also refers to the famous 1915 campaign and an Italian seaside town, so if you've only seen the word in history books or travel blogs, this page is specifically about the video game from BlackMill Games.

Quick facts & FAQ

Worth a look if

  • You already play Isonzo or Verdun — this is the next front in the same series
  • You want big WW1 battles with an authentic feel, not arcade speed
  • You've been waiting for a game set on the Ottoman Fronts, which is a genuinely under-served setting

Skip it if you bounce off slow, positional multiplayer — the praise here is all about atmosphere and teamwork, and players looking for fast action have been the loudest critics.
