PC system requirements

The Steam page lists a few hard requirements that stand out: Windows 11 only, an SSD is mandatory, and 16 GB of RAM even for the minimum spec. Here's the full breakdown.

The hard requirements worth noticing

Upscaling — DLSS 4.5 and FSR 3.1

The game ships with NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 and AMD FSR 3.1 support. The minimum-spec 30fps target is reached with upscaling enabled, so turning it off on minimum hardware will likely drop you well below 30.

If you have an RTX card, DLSS Frame Generation is on the table. If you're on AMD, FSR 3.1 Frame Generation works on RDNA 2 and newer. Intel Arc cards fall under the FSR path.

Will it run on a Steam Deck?

Better than we guessed. The GTX 1660 / RX 5500 XT minimum sits above the Deck's combined Zen 2 + RDNA 2 performance on paper, but RE Engine has been kind to this hardware — Steam Deck HQ's August 31 review put it at a mostly steady 30fps on default settings and called it "pretty wonderful" on the handheld.

One caveat from that testing: the busier stretches of Kyoto caused CPU spikes, with stutter and heavier battery drain. And three weeks after launch Steam still hasn't awarded the game a Deck compatibility badge, so there's no official rating to point at yet.

That tier targets 60fps at 1080p on the Medium preset, upscaling on. The spec that stands out is RAM — it stays at 16 GB even on recommended, while the CPU and GPU each move up two steps from minimum.
