TCG Card Shop Simulator 1.0

The card-shop sim that spent two years as one of Steam's biggest Early Access hits finally has a 1.0 date: September 15, 2026. That's also the day it stops being PC-only — it's launching on PS5, Switch, Switch 2, and Xbox for the first time.

What is TCG Card Shop Simulator?

You run a trading card shop. You stock shelves with booster packs, crack some yourself to hunt rare cards, set your own prices, hire staff, host events, and slowly turn a rented room into a full card-game store. It's a supermarket-sim-style loop, but for people who actually care about the product: every pack you sell has a real card pool behind it, and since launch the community has been pulling, grading, and reselling like it's a real TCG market.

The game left Early Access behind on PC back in September 2024 and quietly became one of the platform's most-played sims — the kind of game people sink 200 hours into without noticing. The Xbox Game Preview version followed in October 2025 with Game Pass included.

What changes in 1.0

The big one: the card game becomes playable. Version 1.0 introduces the "Tetramon" TCG as a real game inside the sim — you build a deck from the cards you've collected and battle CPU opponents. Up until now the cards were collectibles you sold; after 1.0 they're also a deck you play with. That was the community's most-requested feature, and the announcement trailer leans into it hard with a 90s Saturday-morning-cartoon vibe.

The 1.0 launch is also the console release. September 15 brings the game to PS5, Switch, and Switch 2 for the first time ever — previously it was Steam + Microsoft Store only.

How it plays

• Run the shop: design the floor plan, organize shelves, keep packs where customers can reach them, keep the place clean or players walk out.
• Crack packs yourself: open the stock to collect cards, find rare pulls, and decide whether to keep or sell them.
• Host events: set a format and entry fee, invite players to the table. In 1.0 that table finally has real rules behind it.
• Watch the trends: different sets sell at different rates, and demand shifts. Price too high and stock sits; too low and you're leaving money on the counter.
• Expand: profits go back into floor space, new card sets, and upgrades that pull more customers.
